How to Keep Your Kidneys Healthy Naturally- 6 tips

Kidneys are the natural filters of human body and play an important role in filtering the blood resulting in overall good health. Kidney problems have no symptoms and one may know the problem very late. So, it is necessary to undergo the following tips to keep the kidneys stronger and healthy naturally:-






1. Drink:-
Drink plenty of water a day to keep the kidneys strong and healthy. Consume about 2 to 3 litres of water a day. Start your day with drinking one litre of water right after waking up from the sleep. Juices of green vegetables and fruits, lemon water/juice, honey, low-fat milk etc are other kidney- friendly drinkables. Drink such fluids which may keep your urine colourless or light yellow.

2. Eat:-
Make a habit to eat the kidney- supportive foods as green leafy vegetables (cauliflower, cabbage, asparagus, kale etc), fruits rich in water  ( lemon, watermelon, grapes, berries, peaches, cherries) and regular use of onions, garlic apples, cucumber, pumpkin seed etc helps to keep your kidneys healthy and stronger. A balanced diet having above named and more such items helps in smooth functioning of kidneys. Try to eat local seasonal natural items and avoid processed eatables / salty foods.

3. Consume:-
Always try to consume fresh produced natural products as these are rich in number of vitamins and try to avoid the use of factory made products either eatables or drinks. Always use body- friendly items. It is pointed -out by a number of doctors that cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and blood sugar etc are the main reasons for birth/rise of a number of kidney problems. Keep these in control and avoid consumption of items which leads to these kinds of problems adversely affecting the kidneys.

4. Exercise:-
Over-weight or obesity is another major reason of kidneys problem. Regular physical exercise leads to weight- loss, prevents the body from weight gain and helps in keeping the high B.P., cholesterol and blood sugar in control which further helps to keep the kidneys stronger and healthy.

5. Avoid:-
Stop smoking and consuming intoxicants as these damages the kidneys. Use of intoxicants leads to blockage of blood- vessels and interrupts the continuous flow of blood towards kidneys. Due to low-blood supply, the kidneys fail to work properly. Moreover, tobacco contains nicotine and leads to high blood pressure and kidney cancer problems. Stop excess use of alcohol as it also leads to high blood pressure.  Avoid excess/ regular use of foods like- nuts and seeds, bananas, red-meat, dairy, chicken with skin etc.

6. Yoga:-
It is an Indian traditional way of complete exercise. Surprisingly it is a combination of physical (external as well as internal) body exercise along with spirituality. The long breathe exercises as ‘Kapal bhati’, ‘Anulom- vilom’ etc (Indian names of yoga exercise) are very helpful for the respiratory system, digestive system, liver, kidneys and belly control of human body with the fitness of external body.
